What Ynet Global reported

According to Ynet Global, Shurat HaDin has asked the U.S. Department of Justice to open a federal national-security investigation into the Hind Rajab Foundation, and into the people who lead it, fund it and work alongside it.

What the complaint asks

As reported, the complaint asks U.S. authorities to:

  • examine who funds and directs the foundation, and who benefits from its activities;
  • establish whether its campaign has links to Hezbollah, Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hamas or other designated or sanctioned groups;
  • consider sanctions against the foundation and its leadership if an investigation confirms such links.

The complaint also warns that the same tactics could be turned against American service members.

“This is not human rights advocacy. It is the systematic weaponization of the legal system to terrorize the defenders of the Jewish State.”

— Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, founder and president of Shurat HaDin, quoted by Ynet Global

In context

Defending Israel's soldiers against war-crimes allegations and lawfare is one of the fronts of Shurat HaDin's Legal War Room. Nitsana Darshan-Leitner made the case in her own words in an op-ed for Fox News, and the ALL CAPS panel took up the complaint in Episode 17.
